Sal Fazio, Esq. is a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office of 500law. His practice focuses on representing clients in litigation involving trademark, copyright and patent disputes, entertainment and sports law, commercial disputes and tort law. Mr. Fazio has also extensive experience in drafting, negotiating and navigating through commercial contracts, startup business formation matters, internet-based service agreements as well as trademark and copyright applications.
Mr. Fazio is licensed to practice before all courts within the states of New York, the District of Columbia and Florida, before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, the Federal Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and for the Federal Circuit, and the Trademark Trial And Appeal Board. Mr. Fazio chairs the Broward County Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Section, is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Law Association, the National Italian American Bar Association Young Lawyer Division, the International Trademark Association and the Federal Bar Association of Broward County’s Intellectual Property Section.
Mr. Fazio received his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in 2016, with participation in the International Law Student Association’s Journal of International and Comparative law, and has since his days as a student volunteered hundreds of hours to providing legal help for indigent startups in need of early-stage assistance. Besides his practice, he has written and conducted continuing legal education (CLE) courses for the Broward County Bar Association, writes articles for various publications mainly in the areas of litigation and intellectual property, and is an adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University, where he teaches intellectual property and entertainment law.
He is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish, and is also well-versed in the musical arts. As a musician, he has had the pleasure to perform alongside national and international artists.
