Condolences – Alex Omes

My law firm, Santucci Priore, P.L. and I would like to express our condolences to the family of Alejandro (“Alex”) Omes who passed away this week. Alex Omes was an important part of South Florida’s music and entertainment industry from the 1990’s forward. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and close circle of friends.

I have, in the past, advertised and even authored a guest article about the EDM artist, The Spacemen, in Alex Omes’ D’VOX Magazine in the late 1990’s. It was D’VOX Magazine that first published my tagline “I’ve Got Your Back,” which my firm now uses as: “We’ve Got Your Back,” at certain conventions and trade shows, like Winter Music Conference. Back then, I helped Alex, and he helped me.

With D’VOX, and other things, Alex was ahead of the curve. Alex Omes was one of the founders Miami’s Ultra Music Festival. Ultra has become consistently, one of the top three (3) electronic music festivals in the United States, and certainly one of the most famous on the planet. The March 2013 Miami event, which spanned two weekends, in March of 2013, was the largest music event of any genre of music, in the United States, in 2013. The law firm of Santucci Priore, P.L. and I are proud to serve as attorneys for Ultra Music Festival, the cultural phenomenon to which Alex helped give birth.

Alex has always been a familiar face to us in the music and club scene in Miami, and he certainly left his mark. He will be missed.

Sincerely,

Michael I. Santucci
